Getting Started with CalcPrep

Introduction

I created this site with a vision of transforming what already exists:

  • There are online textbooks and guides, but they feel stiff and leave questions to be answered.
  • There are videos, but they are lengthy and progress through the material too slowly.
  • There are courses and content, but they are hidden behind paywalls.
  • There are downloadables, but they aren't organized and easy to find.

I firmly believe that quality education should be free. My goal with this site is to provide exactly that -- high quality course notes and videos that exceeds what is currently out there without requiring students to give up time or money.

Now, this isn't really a textbook. If you're looking for one, Ron Larson is your man. This is more of a "calculus for dummies" site, except we're no dummies. I include some proofs here and there, but the overall goal is for you to understand the concepts and applications without getting bogged down by the nitty-gritty (we can always come back to this later).

I have included worked out solutions to all of the problems on this site. If I missed something or there is a typo/error, please let me know so I can fix it immediately: report an issue.

I have also tried to include videos wherever possible. Whether they are reviewing a concept or working through a problem, feel free to use them in conjunction with or as a replacement to the text provided.

Cheat Sheets / Formual Sheets

Below are some of the cheat sheets and formula sheets I have created over the years.

Sequences and Series Formula Sheet - Link will be updated soon.

Courses

As you may have noticed, content is split by course. Use the left navigation bar to find what you're looking for. You can also use the search bar at the top to find a specific topic.

At the bottom of every page, there are buttons to move between past and previous topics. Once you begin navigating a courses content, it might be easier to navigate using these.

Below are some quick links to get you started:

Need More?

I have tried my best to make everything you need to succeed absolutely free of cost. However, this site might not be enough for everyone.

If you are in need of additional help, I offer LIVE group and individual online sessions every week to help students achieve success in mathematics. For more information, click here.

If you don't need additional help but want to support my content creation and help keep this site up and running, feel free to make a donation here. Any amount helps, even just a few cents.
